We are seeking a skilled WSO2 API Gateway Specialist to manage on-premise and multi-region API setups, including complex API flows. The role involves designing, implementing, and maintaining secure, scalable, and efficient API solutions that support diverse business requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Installation and Configuration:
- Install and configure WSO2 API Manager in on-premise environments.
- Set up multi-region API deployments for high availability and low latency.
- Complex API Flow Management:
- Design and implement advanced API flows, including mediation, routing, and transformations.
- Integrate APIs with backend systems, databases, and external services.
- Handle API orchestration and composition for complex business use cases.
- Multi-Region Configuration:
- Configure regional API gateways with traffic routing, load balancing, and failover mechanisms.
- Ensure API performance optimization and seamless global accessibility.
- API Security and Governance:
- Implement advanced security protocols like OAuth2.0, JWT, and SAML.
- Enforce API governance, policies, and lifecycle management.
- Monitoring and Troubleshooting:
- Monitor API usage and performance, and troubleshoot multi-region or complex flow issues.
- Analyze logs to identify and resolve API-related problems.
- Documentation and Collaboration:
- Document setup processes, complex flows, and troubleshooting guides.
- Work closely with development teams to understand and implement business requirements.
Required Skills:
- Expertise in WSO2 API Manager, including setting up complex flows, policies, and integrations.
- Experience with on-premise and multi-region deployments, clustering, and high availability.
- Strong knowledge of API security protocols (OAuth2.0, JWT, SAML) and governance.
- Familiarity with databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL,Oracle,NoSQl) and backend integrations.
- Proficiency in designing and implementing advanced API flows with mediation and transformation.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with scripting (JavaScript, Python) for custom API logic.
- Understanding of data compliance standards (GDPR, HIPAA).
